The Charmed Reboot critics is some straight up white feminist bullshit.

Why are earth would you be upset about a show that features WOC as bad ass Brujas for the modern young girl.
Why? No really, why?
Tell me about your hurt feelings. About how calling this show feminist somehow made you feel like it was saying the old show wasn’t (no one said that).
Tell me about how they’re getting it all wrong or its just using the same stories or whatever other bullshit complaint you seem to only notice about this show (please insert long list of rebooted/reimagined shows featuring all white casts that this isn’t a problem for)
Tell me about how you can’t even FOR A MOMENT appreciate that this show is not for 40 something wanna be Craft bitches but for a new generation of young women of ALL COLORS (but specifically *ahem* black and brown ones) to see themselves portrayed in this awesome and fantastical light.
This is why no one trusts white women. Cause as soon as they ain’t the primary focus they will, with the swiftness, throw your black, brown, queer asses right under the bus while claiming THEY are the ones truly hurt.
This is a small yet perfect example of how they don’t show up for us.

Bye Felicia: and other thoughts on progress.

For reasons unknown  I awoke today hearing my mind make the declarative statement, “Kim Kardashian has never had to stand in line for anything in her life”. As I thought further and well seriously about this I decided that she is standing in a line of sorts, the line of progress. If we think of progress as a long amusement park like line then by definition there will always be some folks at the front, some in the middle, and some at the dead ass end. The important thing (I presume) to highlight in this analogy is that those at the front can essentially not be worried about those at the end of the line. Otherwise we may miss the ride +/or worst hold up the line… So it is with this that I implore myself and everyone else to make sure the thoughts, actions and energy you engage yourself in are always stepping the line forward and for those of us at the very front, enjoying the ride.
